【大埔公路翻九巴】政府總部下半旗致哀　官員避出席喜慶活動

大埔公路日前發生致命的嚴重交通意外，導致19人死亡。特首林鄭月娥表示，明日政府總部將會下半旗致哀，政府高級官員亦盡量避免出席喜慶活動。
行政署今日亦發送電郵予全體公務員，希望他們明日早上10時一同為事件默哀。

行政署電郵指，政府對事件表示沉重哀悼，為對死傷者致意，在可行情況下，鼓勵所有同事10時左右，在工作地點默哀一分鐘。

電郵又稱，未來數周，主要官員及高級公務員應避免出席喜慶活動，而就算出席的話，亦應保持低調。

The Government is deeply saddened by the tragic traffic accident which occurred on Tai Po Road on Saturday February 10, resulting in 19 deaths and 66 injured. 

To express our deep condolences to the victims of the accident, all colleagues are encouraged, where possible and appropriate, to observe a one-minute silence by standing at their work station/area in a dignified manner at or around 10:00 a.m. tomorrow. 

In the coming weeks, principal and senior officials should avoid attending celebratory activities as far as possible, or to keep a low profile if their presence is necessary.
